Climbing Film Evaporator

Climbing film evaporator is also named as raising film evaporator.

When the material liquid reaches the pre-boiling point, it is added from the bottom of the heating chamber and vaporizes strongly in the heating tube, so that the generated steam drives the material liquid to rise along the tube wall in a film-like evaporator. The liquid film continues to evaporate as it rises. The solution only needs to pass through the heating tube once to reach the required concentration. This evaporator is suitable for dilute solutions with low concentration and heat-sensitive feeding materials.

The heating chamber of the rising film evaporator is composed of a single or multiple vertical tubes. The length-to-diameter ratio of the heating tubes is 100~150, and the tube diameter is between 25~50mm. After the raw material liquid reaches the boiling point or is close to the boiling point after being preheated, it is introduced into the tube from the bottom of the heating chamber. Driven by the high-speed rising secondary steam, it flows in a film shape along the wall while evaporating. The required concentration can be reached at the top of the heating chamber. , the finished liquid is discharged from the bottom of the separator. The speed of the secondary steam in the heating tube should not be less than 10m/s, generally 20~50m/s, and can be as high as 100~160m/s or higher under reduced pressure.
