Industrial centrifuge is a kind of separation machine which uses centrifugal force to separate solid from liquid. The centrifugal force exerted by the centrifuge is thousands of times that of gravity. This force causes the solid to separate from the liquid immediately. Moreover, it can also separate fluids in the case of immiscible liquids with different densities. You can think of industrial centrifuges as enlarged versions of laboratory centrifuges (test tubes), but the flow-through design is larger. This means that the separated solids and liquids are constantly leaving the centrifuge.
