- Seperation of water into H+ and OH- : H2O→H++OH-

- Hydrolysis voltage: 1.0~1.3V(theoretical value: 0.83V)

- High water decomposition efficiency>0.98

1.A bipolar membrane refers to a membrane having a combination structure of ①an anion exchange layer, ②a cation exchange layer, and ③an intermediate catalytic layer.

2.After a voltage is applied across the membrane, water in the membrane decomposes into acid (H+) and alkali (OH-).
