Surging is a unique property of centrifugal compressors, and significant abnormal noises can be heard when the compressor is surging, while the compressor current fluctuates significantly. Common causes and preventive measures of surge in steam compressors
1. Reason: The evaporation temperature is too low, and the inlet steam supply of the compressor is insufficient;
Measures: Set a higher evaporation temperature and increase the amount of air replenishment
2. Reason: Uncondensable gas discharge is not smooth, and the outlet pressure of the compressor is too high;
Measure: Open the non condensable gas valve wide, and if the evaporation temperature is also high, close the supplementary steam valve
3. Reason: The boiling point of the material increases significantly, and the compressor frequency is too low;
Measure: Increase the frequency of the compressor
4. Reason: Scaling on the heat exchange tubes in the heating chamber, resulting in a decrease in heat transfer efficiency;
Measures: Increase the frequency of the compressor, select the appropriate time to stop and clean the scale
5. Reason: The condensate tank is full of water, and the drainage of the heater's condensate is not smooth, submerging some of the heat exchange area.
Measure: Resolve drainage faults
6. Reason: There is a significant air leakage point in the entire MVR system, causing air to leak into the system
Measure: Find the leakage point and seal it (common: forget to close the valve of the cyclone return pipe when not filtered)
